		<description>I agree with you partially on the comment about Ronaldo being the one who&#039;ll get the United States involved in soccer. True, the latter stages of Cristiano&#039;s career (which I think will be the best) will probably help a great deal to attract more Americans to the sport. 

But, you have to give more credit to what David Beckham&#039;s done already. He&#039;s the one putting the foot in the door for soccer. As an American, it&#039;s sort of embarrassing knowing that soccer&#039;s rise in popularity is mostly due to Beckham&#039;s super-celebrity status, and not for his footballing skills. Unfortunately, that&#039;s the path to American interest. Rest assured though, stars like Cristiano and other football geniuses will take the torch and propel the real football to the top of the American sporting food chain for the right reasons.
